How PrivacyGuard works

Your privacy, your control — block trackers, manage data, see who knows you.

Quick answers

What does PrivacyGuard do?
Three things: blocks trackers in your browser, finds where your data is stored across the web, and continuously monitors for new exposures (data broker listings, breaches, public-records leaks).
How is it different from an ad blocker?
Ad blockers block ads. PrivacyGuard blocks the underlying tracking that fuels surveillance even when ads aren't shown — fingerprinting, cross-site identifiers, third-party storage. Plus, we manage off-browser exposures (data brokers, breaches).
Is it free?
Yes — the Chrome extension and core mobile features are free. Paid tiers add data-broker removal at scale, continuous monitoring, and family coverage.
Will it break websites?
Almost never. We use a curated, maintained allowlist for content needed by the page itself, and block only the third-party tracking. If a site does break, one-click pause.

The journey, step by step

  1. 1

    Install and protect

Add the Chrome extension or mobile app. Trackers are blocked from the first page load.

  2. 2

    Scan your exposure

We scan data brokers, breach lists, and people-finder sites. You see exactly who has your data.

  3. 3

    Remove and monitor

Send removal requests with one click and we monitor weekly. New exposures trigger alerts.
